Hi — thanks for using Dumdum. If you're stuck or have a question, I'm happy to help.
Email: [email protected]
I usually reply within a day or two. If you're reporting a bug, please include your iPhone model and iOS version.
Yes. Everything you write in Dumdum — moods, journals, photos, and voice notes — stays on your iPhone. Nothing is sent to a server, shared with third parties, or backed up to the cloud unless you explicitly export it.
Open Settings → Backup → Export. Dumdum creates a .dumdum file containing all your entries. You can save it to Files, share it via AirDrop, or email it to yourself.
Install Dumdum on the new device, finish onboarding, then go to Settings → Backup → Import and select your .dumdum file.
For your privacy, the passcode can't be recovered. You'll need to delete Dumdum and reinstall, then restore from your most recent backup. If you haven't backed up, the data can't be recovered. This is a security feature, not a limitation.
Open iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Dumdum and enable sleep and steps. Then relaunch Dumdum.
Open iOS Settings → Notifications → Dumdum and enable notifications. Then check Settings → Reminders inside Dumdum to confirm the reminder is on.
In the journal editor, tap the microphone icon. If nothing happens, open iOS Settings → Dumdum → Microphone and enable access.
